Sparklight Donates $10,000 to The Salvation Army of Georgia to Help Communities Rebuild after Hurricane Helene
ATLANTA, November 5, 2024 – Fiber-powered internet provider Sparklight®, formerly Hargray Communications, recently donated $10,000 to The Salvation Army of Georgia to support residents impacted by Hurricane Helene. The donation will be applied to the nonprofit’s emergency fund, delivering critical assistance across the state.

In addition to providing fast, reliable internet to keep our community connected, we are committed to finding new ways to make a meaningful impact.” Sparklight’s other Hurricane Helene recovery efforts included providing a free WiFi hotspot for residents of Reidsville, Georgia, and donating $10,000 to the United Way of the Lowcountry.

Such donations are an extension of Sparklight’s longtime support for its local communities. The company recently donated backpacks and school supplies to Georgia schools and has sponsored a number of events run by city offices, police departments and educational institutions. Sparklight also awards $250,000 annually to nonprofits across its 24-state footprint through its Charitable Giving Fund, with recipients including the Museum of Aviation Foundation of Warner Robins
